Website Designing
There is much more to Website Designing than just putting together a few images, some text and uploading it online. Many people take for granted the amount of effort and time that has to be put in to developing a proper well designed website that will serve the intended purpose.
Before we begin designing the website, first we have to identify the main purpose of the website and its intended target audience. Without this step we will be approaching the project blindingly and will not be able to get the intended results. For example, let's say we intend to build a corporate website for a company dealing with baby products. The intended target audience will obviously be parents weighing more to the mother. Therefore the entire Website Designing direction will be based on this.
It is also very important to remember that branding plays as important a role online as it does offline. This simply means that the corporate branding of a company or its products has to be successfully conveyed online as it is offline. If not done properly this could become very misleading to potential clients and consumers alike. That is why choosing a proper domain name is a necessity.
Once the purpose, target audience and branding have been properly identified we then have to consider the execution of the design. Will the site be an information based site or will it be more interactive and require user feedback. The options for implementation have grown tremendously over the years. The internet is now flooded with beautifully designed sites that not only have esthetic value but serve their purpose technically as well. Such examples can be seen most profoundly from sites that use flash web design in conveying their message.
Whichever way you decide to go, keep in mind the main purpose you are creating the website and remember that everything else should be to support that purpose.
